Challenge

The challenge was to enhance the brand experience through uniforms, creating an exclusive design capable of conveying luxury, history, and local culture. The uniforms had to complement the hotel’s architecture and the unique character of the location, while also adapting to the local climate, the hotel’s various spaces, and the diversity of ranks and roles.

Solution

The project is approached from a perspective deeply connected to its location. The design draws on the local culture of Montenegro and the hotel’s own architecture, working with relaxed silhouettes, neutral colours, and a timeless aesthetic that reinforces a sense of calm and exclusivity. The approach balances functionality and storytelling: garments designed for real use in a demanding environment, without compromising the historical character and level of sophistication that define the Mamula Island experience. Layering and carefully integrated details allow for a coherent visual identity across all hotel spaces. A collection that dialogues with the fortress The collection spans from front office teams to operational and service staff, adapting to each role while maintaining visual coherence. Mao-collar shirts, polo shirts, and naturally inspired trousers coexist with iconic pieces such as the kimono and vest, which become distinctive elements of the project. The design incorporates details inspired by local culture – gold finishes and decorative closures – along with noble fabrics evoking linen, specifically selected to ensure durability and ease of use in everyday operations. For restaurant teams, a pareo-style apron is introduced, bringing a sense of closeness and enhancing the service experience. The colour palette is drawn directly from the hotel’s visual universe, from its graphic identity to the architectural tones, ensuring a seamless integration between space, team, and experience. The result is a collection that reinforces Mamula Island’s uniqueness, elevates its sense of exclusivity, and accompanies the guest from the very first point of contact, making uniform design an essential part of the island’s narrative.
